The website was created in 2004 to host the Lacey Games.
In 2009, all of Jay's games were deleted from the site by Rocío, and she was permanently removed from the website itself.
Real Life Prop Site
The Lacey Games site exists on the web, but only as a prop for recording. It appeared in April 2023 and had a secret page that could be accessed by opening the blank images under "about us". In April 2024, the site updated with more game covers, but Jay was notably missing, with Jay's Skating Game being gone too. After The Disturbing Rabbithole of Laceygames.com released, the site has been inaccessible, likely for creating another episode.
Controversy
After Lacey's Petshop released, confusion arose with people mistaking a fan website known as "laceygamesarchive" as a canon site. Ghosttundra clarified that Lacey Games is entirely contained to their YouTube channel and all other sites are fanmade.
After The Disturbing Rabbithole of Laceygames.com released, people mistook a fan website nearly identical to the Neocities website in the episode as canon. The website, known as "freeonlinelaceygames", says that it's not official on its front page, but uses assets from the series. This website was featured in popular YouTube videos, creating further confusion and misinformation. Even after Ghosttundra clarified again that the only Neocities site they have is the recording prop "laceygames.neocities.org", people still claimed it was authentic. The Lacey Games subreddit had to ban posts about fan sites due to this controversy.
